Claire has worked in Inverness since 2010, having joined CKD Galbraith as a graduate and qualified as a rural chartered surveyor in 2012. She is involved in the management of a number of Highland estates as well as carrying out a wide range of valuation and professional consultancy work.
Chris is based in our Stirling office and leads the Rural Team in central Scotland. A specialist in urban fringe estates and involved in management and consultancy on several Scottish islands, Chris also has extensive experience in negotiating land deals with developers.
Louise is based in the Inverness office, providing advice on all woodland management issues with a particular emphasis on Long Term Forest planning and specialist tree surveys. Louise has been working in the Highlands forestry industry for over 8 years and joined CKD Galbraith in 2015.
Nicky handles residential Estate Agency and property sales on the West Coast around Oban and in Argyll. Experienced in the local market, Nicky has helped several Oban based firms build their property portfolios from scratch.
Poppy is part of our rural team and is based in Castle Douglas. She has previously worked as assistant factor on the Isle of Bute; in our Stirling office managing a number of estates around Glasgow and with the rural team in our Edinburgh office.
Wattie heads up the Land Agency Department in the Perth office and has over 35 years experience in the Scottish rural property market. He is also involved in general practice work including property valuation and overseeing utility work.
Duncan is based within the National Farm Sales Centre, Stirling covering a wide range of rural property across the country. He also forms part of Rural Management Department and is involved in a variety of management, consultancy, and valuation work.
Willie is part of our Forestry team based in Inverness. He has been working in the forestry sector for over 30 years and has extensive experience in grant applications, new planting projects and all aspects of forest management.
Kash heads up our Facilities Management Department. He previously managed the iconic Skypark building in Glasgow and prior to that was a facilities manager with BBC Scotland. Kash has an MBA and is NEBOSH qualified.
Colin has 20 years’ experience in all aspects of commercial property, focusing on property management work on behalf of private investors, property companies and funds. He currently manages ten portfolios of mixed commercial property assets around the UK from London to Inverness.
John is based in the Inverness office. He joined the Partnership of Finlayson Hughes in 1985 and is head of the Estate Agency Department in the north, specialising in the buying and selling of country houses, farms and estates. He also undertakes estate management and rural valuation work.
James is a member of our Rural team based in the Stirling office. Working throughout Central Scotland, he is involved in management, access and compensation, valuation, land use negotiation, as well as carrying out a wide range of professional consultancy work.
Georgie is an Assistant Forest Manager and assists with survey work, mapping, Forestry Grant Scheme applications and site supervision. She has an MSc in Environmental Sustainability from the University of Edinburgh.
Simon leads CKD Galbraith’s rural and residential sales and lettings team. He specialises in the sale, purchase and valuation of farms throughout the country. Based at the National Farm Sales Centre in our Stirling office he has over 30 years' experience in the Scottish farming industry.
Jay has been with CKD Galbraith since 2003. She heads up the Letting Department and is a Member of the Association of Residential Letting Agents providing a comprehensive service for landlords and tenants in the Perthshire area
Jami Caird joined CKD Galbraith in 2006 and having worked in the Buildings Surveying and Agency departments, she now assists in the Lettings Department in the Perth office. Jami deals with telephone and online enquiries, property management, general administration and lease preparation.
Martin joined CKD Galbraith in 2008 and is the partner in charge of Building Surveying. With over 20 years experience of both residential and commercial sectors of building surveying, he previously worked with CB Richard Ellis and Kilmartin Property Group.
Emma joined CKD Galbraith in 2002 and heads up the Agency Department in the Perth Office covering Perthshire and Kinross-shire, specialising in sales, purchases and valuations of rural property, country houses and estates.
Bob has been closely involved in the property market around Ayrshire, Glasgow and south-west Scotland for the last 20 years. He is responsible for sales, lettings, farm sales, valuations and other residential and rural property services provided by the Ayr office.
Alistair undertakes rural valuations and is part of our AMC finance team. He rejoined CKD Galbraith in 2016, having previously worked with us for seven years undertaking estate management and utility work. He also spent two years working with a specialist grouse moor management company.
Philippa has been based in the Inverness office since 2008 and is involved in the management of a number of Highland Estates. Her involvement encompasses all aspects of rural estate management including sporting, property management, agricultural, forestry, development and renewables.
Sam joined CKD Galbraith in May 2014 and is one of the key members of our Estate Agency team in Inverness. She has considerable experience in this area of work and acts as a negotiator/property assistant covering sales of residential property, farms and estates.
Marion is an Associate of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, a RICS Registered Valuer and a member of the National Association of Estate Agents. With experience in the Scottish conveyancing system, she is able to guide clients through the legal process.
Juliette joined the Inverness Building Surveying and Architectural Department in 2014. Her career in Architectural Design spans 12 years, predominately involved in the conservation and restoration of historic buildings at the design stage and throughout the project management.
Lawson works within the energy and rural departments in our Perth office. He works as a Wayleave Officer dealing with Grantor’s concerns and deals with all forms of compensation claims, as well as agricultural consultancy and management.
Originally from Dumfries, Fergus spent a year working for CKD Galbraith in Aberdeen on placement from Harper Adams University. After this he took on a graduate position in Castle Douglas as a member of the rural team.
Sheila handles the sale of properties in the Edinburgh, the Lothians and Peeblesshire. Sheila lives in Peeblesshire with her family and has a good knowledge of the Peebles and the surrounding areas. Sheila joined CKD Galbraith in August 2010.
Marjory began her career thirteen years ago in the Ayr office of what was then Cluttons, later to become CKD Galbraith. She deals with property management, rent arrears, gas and electric safety checks, end of tenancies and release of tenants deposits.
Laura provides full support to the estate agency team. With a strong professional, customer service and sales background, she is first point of contact for prospective buyers and assists with the marketing of clients properties.
Anneka joined CKD Galbraith as a Land Agent in 2012 and is based in the Edinburgh office. Anneka is involved in management, consultancy and valuation work throughout Scotland and the North of England and is also involved in our renewable energy team.
Fiona is part of the Sales team in our Ayr office and a member of the National Association of Estate Agents. She has always had an interest in the property market, having worked previously in lettings, as well as buying and selling properties after upgrading and renovating them.
Working in our commercial management department Jill is responsible for the portfolios of a number of our key commercial clients. She originally joined CKD Galbraith’s Commercial department as a graduate from 2004-2007, returning in 2012 after a period with BNP Paribas Real Estate.
A well-established agent within the Edinburgh market, Katie is an experienced and skilled negotiator and surveyor for landlords and occupiers. Knowing and understanding the needs of small to large occupiers has allowed her to market buildings effectively on behalf of landlords.
Jamie is a Senior Planner working on a wide range of commercial, rural and renewables planning projects for our clients across Scotland. With a background as a chartered town planner, Jamie has previously worked for BayWa r.e., Inﬁnis and Terence O’Rourke Ltd.
Scott joined our Premium Property Buying team in 2016. He has a strong background in the leisure industry and experience of working with high-profile clients and multinational organisations on a global scale.
Anna has an extensive knowledge of the rural property market in Scotland. Before joining CKD Galbraith as a Buying Agent in 2016 she spent 15 years with Savills as a Director of Rural Property where she bought, sold and valued farms and estates throughout Scotland.
Richard works between our Edinburgh and Stirling offices and is in charge of the commercial investment and agency division. He and his department provide a range of consultancy, agency and professional services to a wide ranging client base.
Scott covers the Perthshire market with a focus on Highland Perthshire and Aberfeldy. He has experience of the central London, Surrey and Berkshire property markets and also previously worked in our Elgin office covering Moray and the Cairngorm National Park.
Ian heads up our brokerage department and offers expert guidance on subsidies and the new Basic Payment Scheme. He also undertakes farm sales and acquisitions, farm consultancy, valuations and compensation claims.
Lucie joined CKD Galbraith in 2012 and qualified in 2014. She works as a Land Agent in the Rural department at the Perth office and is involved in estate management, rural consultancy, valuation and property management work.
Gregor is in charge of the Building Surveying and Architectural department in our Inverness office. He undertakes a variety of major building work from the small scale domestic property, agricultural buildings and vehicle workshops to large scale lodge refurbishments.
Mungo works for the Sporting Lets department and has extensive practical experience of both Scottish and foreign fieldsports combined with a background in commercial property. Mungo specialises in sporting lettings with an active input in all matters pertaining to Scottish sport.
Alex has been an active surveyor and estate agent in the Scottish Borders since 1992, initially with John Sale. He manages CKD Galbraith’s busy Kelso office and also handles residential valuation and agency work for the Galashiels office. Alex is a RICS Registered Valuer.
Calum is responsible for the CKD Galbraith’s Energy Department which serves a diverse range of clients from major plc utility companies to private individuals looking to benefit from renewable energy incentives. He is a recognised expert on sporting rates.
Judy has worked in the Lettings Department of our Ayr office for six years, having previously worked for Donalds Chartered Surveyors for nine years. Judy deals with changeovers of tenancies, processes all invoices and assists with arranging repairs and viewings.
Jennifer joined the Edinburgh office in 2016 as a graduate and is currently completing her APC training. Graduating from SRUC with a first class honours degree, she is involved in the management of a number of estates around Edinburgh and the Borders as well as assisting with a wide range of valu
Yvonne joined the Galashiels office in 2013. She is responsible for the application process from referencing checks to lease signing and liaises between prospective tenants and landlords. She also deals with rent arrears and the remarketing of let properties.
Based in our Inverness office, Tim is a member of the Rural Team, providing management services and consulting to a wide range of clients. An Honours graduate in Ecology, he has particular expertise in aquaculture work.
Toby works in the Energy Team, primarily in Wayleaving and Consents for the utilities department. He is currently undertaking a postgraduate diploma in surveying with the College of Estate Management with a view to sitting his APC within the next couple of years.
Geoff is the Letting Manager in our Cupar office. He started working in Estate Management in 2006 after completing a Masters in Land Economy at Aberdeen University and has gained a vast amount of experience in rural lettings through the managing of estates across Aberdeenshire.
Annie joined CKD Galbraith in February 2014 and completed her APC in November 2016. She is part of the Rural team based in the Stirling office and carries out a variety of management and compensation work as well as other professional consultancy work and valuations.
Based in the Inverness office, Dougal is primarily involved in a wide variety of rural estate management roles, ranging from clients with lowland urban fringe properties to traditional highland sporting estates.
Harry is part of the rural management team in Galashiels and is involved in the sale and valuation of farms and country property. He is also involved with our renewable energy team, primarily covering wind together with other alternative energy projects.
Niall sells country houses, farms and estates and undertakes valuation work across Argyll and the Isles. In additional to his consultancy role with CKD Galbraith he is the owner of Torrisdale Estate, Carradale, where he resides.
A founding partner of the former Hayes Macfarlane, Andrew is a consultant based at our Aberdeen Office. He has considerable experience with all aspects of farm management including Landlord & Tenant matters and farm subsidy schemes.
Maggie has worked in lettings for over 12 years and joined CKD Galbraith in 2010. She is the receptionist in the Ayr office and deals with lettings enquiries, arranges viewings and keeps in touch with landlords providing them with feedback on the viewings of their properties.
Nick carries out the full scope of wayleave work including securing wayleave permissions and any statutory consents for new electricity cable and/or Tower routes, refurbishment and replacement of existing Towers, crop compensation claims and GIS related mapping services.
Rachel joined CKD Galbraith as a Land Agent in 2014 and is based in the Cupar office. Rachel is involved in management and telecommunications as well as carrying out a wide range of valuation and professional consultancy work.
Samantha has worked with CKD Galbraith in our Ayr since 2013 and has 10 years experience of working in Lettings. She is responsible for the day to day running of the Lettings Department, visiting prospective landlords, lease preparation and is the liaison between prospective tenants and landlords
Pam is Chief Executive of CKD Galbraith and also leads the firm's Commercial team. Based in the Edinburgh office she has over 30 years' experience of commercial property specialising in asset management and development for a wide range of clients.
Rhona began her career with CKD Galbraith, formerly John Sale, nine years ago. She deals with all aspects of property management including safety checks, conforming to regulations, contractors, start and end of tenancy paperwork and deposit release.
Robert leads Sporting Lets - CKD Galbraith's sporting letting department - from the Perth Office. He has been principally involved in property and fieldsports for over 25 years. Robert specialises in sporting lettings, with an active input into the sales and management of sporting estates.
Mike runs the Cupar Office and is Head of the Energy Division. He carries out a range of professional and management work on rural properties in central Scotland and the North of England. Mike also is a specialist in telecommunications, wind farm and pipeline work.
Hamish runs the Forestry Department in our Perth office providing all aspects of forest management, grant applications and valuations. Hamish started working for CKD Galbraith in Inverness in 1994 and moved to Perth in 2002.
Phiddy handles the sale of town and rural properties in Inverness and Inverness-shire. She previously worked for a national home search company and is a member of the NAEA and an associate member of Institute of Paralegals. Phiddy joined CKD Galbraith in 2005.
Iain works from the Inverness and Edinburgh offices and is involved in wide-ranging management; consultancy and valuation work throughout Scotland. He has worked in central Scotland, south east England, overseas and London. The Chairman of CKD Galbraith, Iain also heads up our Rural team.
Patricia carries out all aspects of rural practice surveying work including estate and property management, valuation work and compensation claims. She also plays an active role in our training programme for new staff hoping to become members of RICS.
Paul works primarily with clients in central and southern Scotland. With 17 years experience, he has successfully planned and implemented timber harvesting and woodland establishment operations in a wide range of scenarios including mixed estates, upland plantations and native woodlands.
Peter joined CKD Galbraith in 2010 when he returned to Scotland after working for GVA Grimley in London. He predominantly undertakes commercial projects and professional work throughout Scotland and England.
Gregor has lived and worked in Glasgow and Stirlingshire for over 33 years, specialising in lettings for over 14 years. He manages a mixed portfolio of Full Management, Tenant Find Only and Country Estate lets across West Central Scotland including Glasgow.
Colin has considerable expertise in a wide range of rural topics including farm and estate management, valuation and agricultural law matters. He is a member of the Rural, Valuation and Dispute Resolution Faculties of the RICS and acts regularly as an expert witness.
Deirdre joined CKD Galbraith in January 2013. Her expertise lies in management of traditional rural estates, with a particular interest in sporting enterprises. Deirdre belongs to Inverness-shire, where her parents farm.
Primarily based within the Agency department in Perth, Richard joined what was then Hayes McFarlane in 2011 after completing a BA in Rural Business Management at the Scottish Agricultural College in Aberdeen.
Tom is highly experienced in agricultural matters; sporting and landed estate management and rural property issues including estate agency, valuation compensation and managing contract farming agreements.
Gareth is experienced in the management of diversified landed estates and undertakes a wide range of professional and valuation services for rural clients. He qualified as a Fellow of the Central Association of Agricultural Valuers in 2013 and is a RICS Registered Valuer.
James joined CKD Galbraith in 2014 and is a member of the Stirling Building Surveying Team. With 5 years’ experience in both residential and commercial sectors of building surveying, he has worked at GLM and Thomas and Adamson.
Robert is partner in charge of rural valuations and AMC agency. He is a qualified Auctioneer and Chartered Surveyor with over 25 years working experience in both the rural and commercial property sectors. A past council member of SAAVA and IAAS, he lives and farms in Central Scotland.
Lewis is a graduate Building Surveyor based in our Edinburgh office and enrolled on the RICS building surveying pathway. He graduated from Edinburgh Napier University in 2012 and worked for Amey surveying railway infrastructure before joining CKD Galbraith in July 2015.
Mike is based in our Galashiels office and is mainly involved in estate management throughout East Lothian, the Borders and Lanarkshire. Mike is a farmer's son and has been with CKD Galbraith for in excess of 25 years.
Gareth is part of the Rural team at the National Farm Sales Centre in Stirling and also provides valuations, agricultural consultancy and mortgage work. A graduate of SAC Edinburgh, he joined CKD Galbraith in July 2014 and achieved RICS accreditation in November 2016.
Susan is the Lettings Manager in our Galashiels Office and has been with CKD Galbraith for 9 years, previously working in sales. Susan deals with the day to day running of the office, visiting prospective landlords and lease preparation.
Dominic has worked as an estate agent since 2000 and covers residential and rural sales in Fife and Angus. Dominic was educated at Dundee High School and St Andrews University and completed a Masters in Land Economy at Aberdeen University in 1999.
Claire joined CKD Galbraith in 2013 and qualified as a member of the Institute of Chartered Foresters in 2014. She is responsible for woodland management on a number of highland estates and involved in all aspects of woodland management from harvesting to new planting.
Vivien is based in the Ayr office and joined CKD Galbraith in 2003. She is a fully qualified member of the National Association of Estate Agents and works in the agency department specialising in the sale of residential and rural properties.
Anna assists with valuations and management for estates around Edinburgh and the Borders; and with aquaculture work. She completed a BSc in Marine Biology at St Andrews followed by an MSc in Rural Estate Management at Cirencester.
