Energy

Saving you money and generating income

Making the most of your resources

FINANCIAL INCENTIVES
Could financial incentives boost your income or cut the time needed to get a return on your investment? Could they even provide vital seed funding to get the project off the ground?

How we help

  • Scottish Rural Development Programme (SRDP) – our specialist agents apply for SRDP funding on your behalf. This is a grant to help complete the capital work.  http://www.scotland.gov.uk/Topics/farmingrural/SRDP

  • Feed in Tariff (FiT) – the Feed in Tariff is one of the main financial incentives for small-scale renewable projects. It provides installers of small scale projects with a payment for every unit of electricity generated and exported. www.fitariffs.co.uk

  • Renewable Obligation Certificate (ROCs) – ROCs are issued to producers of renewable electricity. While they are available to all producers, they are generally used by larger-scale generators.   http://www.ofgem.gov.uk/Sustainability/Environment/RenewablObl/Pages/RenewablObl.aspx

  • Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) – while details of the domestic scheme are still to be announced, the business incentives have been launched. We are advising all our clients on how this might affect existing or proposed heating projects. http://www.rhincentive.co.uk

  • Community and Renewable Energy Scheme - £2.4 million is being made available in 2011-12 to farmers and other land managers to help them harness Scotland's renewable energy potential. The scheme will provide a grant to landowners or community groups to help meet their start-up costs, which is only paid back if planning permission is approved.
