
HILARY MATTHEWS
Hilary joined CKD Galbraith in January 2009, following 12 years with Jones Lang LaSalle working within the Edinburgh Office Professional Department. She is an integral member of the Asset Management team at CKD Galbraith, using her in-depth knowledge of valuation and landlord and tenant matters to deal with lease restructures and advisory, rent reviews, lease renewals and other asset management initiatives on a daily basis. She deals with all types of commercial property throughout the UK, acting for both owners and occupiers. In every instruction undertaken, the over-riding objective is to achieve best value for the client, dependant on their circumstances and their own objectives.
In addition to her Asset Management undertakings, Hilary is also an RICS Registered Valuer and an integral member of CKD Galbraith’s Valuation Team, carrying out valuations of all types of commercial property for both lending institutions and private clients. Valuation type is varied and recent instructions have included valuing (1) Stirling Agricultural Centre, a commercial investment comprising 7 tenants and 7 further vacant retail and office units and an estimated rent role in excess of £550,000 per annum, for a major lending institution, (2) an Edinburgh office building extending to approximately 10,000 sq.ft., also for a major lending institution, (3) a garden centre investment in Forres for a private client and (4) acting as an Expert Witness Valuer in a litigation case over a prominent residential site in West Edinburgh.In addition to her Asset Management undertakings, Hilary is also an RICS Registered Valuer and an integral member of CKD Galbraith’s Valuation Team, carrying out valuations of all types of commercial property for both lending institutions and private clients.
